How about we all keep riding BICYCLES, not mopeds.

This move to less human powered and more 'smiles per mile' leads to less fitness and less bicycle than motorcycle.

Not to mention the environmental cost and safety of those lithium batteries and the absurd cost of ebikes.

I'm on team go for it for urban mobility where it's offsetting car trips, but for pure recreation like mtb motors simply don't belong. And that includes the 'camels nose' arguments regarding disabled riders. It was all to get motorized vehicles on human powered trails.

I haven't purchased an E-bike yet. From my perspective, they are too heavy, expensive, and still evolving rapidly. I may purchase one when a full suspension bike weighs in around 15kg and doesn't cost $25,000 NZD..

Remembering back to when VHS first arrived, and a Two-track player was $3,000. Then a few short years later, an Eight-track player was $250, and the technology was being superseded by Compact Disc.

Showing my age I know, and I like E-bikes. Just not enough, to be happy, and dump a ton of money on one yet. Still happy riding my 2016 Niner RIP9 and Lynskey Ti 29 HT..
