It has been a busy couple of days in the biking industry.

  1. Revel Bikes is CLOSING - Apparently, Revel Bikes is in debt over 8 million dollars so they are closing their doors immediately. The timing on this is odd for a couple of reasons but most notably…they just released their 2025 product line. Obviously, Revel has been running into issues for quite a while now with news like this which means this has far less to do with the tariffs and more about the post COVID demand issues that much of the industry is dealing with. My guess…Revel ramped up investments and production thinking that the high demand was going to stay…when it didn’t. They borrowed to accomplish that and are now left without the revenue to support the bills.

  2. Both Specialized and Trek announced 10% tariffs surcharges on bikes being imported into the US. HOWEVER, Trek released a statement that really makes them look out of touch with their customer base and can be considered offensive. Watch the video to find out exactly what they said and why it isn’t a good look.
